Safety Not Guaranteed is an exceptional crowdpleaser about three cynical Seattle journalists who run across a classified ad that reads, "Wanted: Someone to go back in time with me. This is not a joke. You'll get paid after we get back. Must bring your own weapons. I have only done this once before. Safety not guaranteed." They discover the author, a goofy, smart and sincere grocery clerk in his mid-30s named Kenneth (Mark Duplass, who stars in another July title, Your Sister's Sister). Darius (Aubrey Plaza of Damsels in Distress and Parks and Recreation), a clever loner and magazine intern, latches onto the intriguing Kenneth and attempts to make sense of his story.
"Ambitious and touching. Safety Not Guaranteed not only has dialogue that's about something, but characters who have some depth and dimension." (Roger Ebert, Chicago Sun-Times)
